Rooting for a Greener Future: How Native's Event Sponsorships Are Helping to Plant a Forest and Change the World

March has been a month of madness and excitement as Native teamed up with some amazing local events, including the Hurricanes 2023 season, 121 Festival, and CubaDupa, among others.

And the results? Incredible! Over 200 Native trees have been funded to be planted as a result of these partnerships.

But the good news doesn't stop there! These events have been a massive success for Native, too. Hundreds of awesome humans who had never tried our delicious RTD before now have it in their hands, ready to enjoy.

The Hurricanes

Thanks to your love for Native, we have already been able to fund the planting of 74 trees through the first two Hurricanes games of the season! It's amazing to see our branding on the field and our cans in the hands of fans who support the best rugby team in Wellington and the country, and now the best RTD, too.

We still have five Hurricanes games coming up, which means more Native flowing and more trees growing! So be sure to stay refreshed with Native if you're attending these upcoming events - nothing tastes better than supporting the best team in Wellington as you sip the best RTD our great little capital has to offer.

121 Festival

Native partnered with the 121 Festival, our largest festival sponsorship ever, and it was a huge success. We were able to plant 79 trees and even created our own Native bar. Festival goers loved the refreshing taste of our RTD while dancing and supporting a good cause. Just by choosing Native as their festival bevvie of choice, they made a positive impact on the environment in Aotearoa. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase our brand to a wider audience and we can't wait to partner with more large-scale festivals like 121 in the future.

CubaDupa

We partnered with the fantastic team behind the Wellington street festival: CubaDupa, to ensure the event was as planet-conscious and low-waste as possible. We created reusable cups for the event made from 100% plant-based plastic, which could be taken home as memorabilia or returned to the reusable bins for washing and reuse throughout the festival weekend and future events. For every cup returned, $1 was donated to the Native tree fund, with one tree being funded for every 10 cups returned. Plus, every 40 cans of Native sold at the festival funded the planting of another Native tree, making sipping our delicious RTD even more rewarding.

Summer Sessions

We showed off our jazzy new event branding for the first time ever at Wellington Summer Festival: Summer Sessions, and it was a super rewarding moment for us! We were able to fund another 25 trees through this event and loved seeing the Wellington community come together to enjoy the sunshine and sip Native.

Other Local Events

We also partnered with other notable events in March, including Basement Jaxx's Wellington DJ Set, One Republic's Wellington show, Tommy's golf day, and Miramar Rangers golf day, which collectively funded over 40 trees!

In conclusion, whether you're sipping on Native for the delicious fruit flavours, the low sugar and calorie content, the desire to support local, or simply because you want to make a positive impact on the environment with every sip, we are grateful for your support. It is because of you that we can continue our mission of planting 1000 native trees this Winter through the Native Tree Fund.

Every time you choose Native, you're not only treating yourself to a refreshing and delicious drink, but you're also contributing to a greener future for Aotearoa. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for making our mission possible. YOU ARE AWESOME and we are eternally grateful for your support!

Cheers to You & Here's to Nature!
